Our recent projects include

  • Developed and implemented drug utilization review, clinical practice guidelines, and educational intervention programs enabling pharmaceutical manufacturers to partner with their managed care customers.
  • Helped a major pharmaceutical company developed an integrated strategic plan for marketing in the managed care, federal, hospital, and long-term health care sectors.
  • Conducted a cost-effectiveness study comparing outcome, length of stay, and hospital charges among therapeutic alternatives (thrombolytic drugs and surgery) for peripheral arterial occlusion using different diagnostic tests.
  • Developed and implemented academic detailing programs, Excellence in Pharmacotherapy to provide educational information to physicians and patients promoting clinical and cost-effective pharmacotherapy for the treatment of acid-peptic diseases, mild to moderate pain, acute cystitis, and hypertension.
  • Provided educational seminars for implementing DSM programs. Trained pharmacists to educate prescribers by teaching them communication and sales skills, a knowledge of the clinical issues in hypertension, and a review of the pharmacology of agents used to treat hypertension.
